The sun cresting Haleakala, early in the morning, creates beautiful and soft light for Maalaea Harbor. This harbor is on the south side of the isthmus between Haleakala Mountain and the West Maui Mountains. It is where most snorkeling and diving expeditions depart, heading toward the crescent-shaped Molokini Island and Turtle town. The soft tones, in blues and mauves, are restful and the last Palisade reaches into the sea, shows as a silhouette. Clouds in tones of cream and yellow reflect the rising sun. Later in the day, the sea is often moving briskly as the Trade Winds blow in from the north east.

I have been taking pictures since I was young. I love the outdoors and enjoy taking landscape and botanical photos. With my lifelong interest in and study of interior design and architecture, I greatly enjoy taking pictures of buildings, interiors, and art. I have pursued my love of art and creation by making collages with many different themes. I am also interested in the Aboriginal arts of Australia, Pointillism, Dot Art, and watercolors.
