Artist's Description

The King's River in King's Canyon National Park in the High Sierras of California is one of the ways water arrives in the San Joaquin Valley of Central California, where much of the produce for the United States and the rest of the world is grown. Some years, when the snows have been relatively sparse in the Sierras, there is not too much water in the river, such as in 2012, which is good for those who want to fish and even spend time in the river. In 2011, the river roared and was deep and dangerous, which is good for agriculture. It is always beautiful!
