Liquidambar Tree Branches Canvas Print

On a beautiful morning, after a light rain (a happy thing in Southern California!) I saw that lovely, eastern light behind some of the leaves of our Liquidambar Tree. I loved the contrast with those leaves not lit as brightly. Liquidambar Trees are the warm-climate version of Maple trees. They are also called American Sweetgum. As they are deciduous, they turn brilliant colors of red and gold in the fall. This would be a lovely picture in a room full of warm colors, bringing in a complementary hue. It is also very fresh, bringing light and sunshine into any environment.

I have been taking pictures since I was young. I love the outdoors and enjoy taking landscape and botanical photos. With my lifelong interest in and study of interior design and architecture, I greatly enjoy taking pictures of buildings, interiors, and art. I have pursued my love of art and creation by making collages with many different themes. I am also interested in the Aboriginal arts of Australia, Pointillism, Dot Art, and watercolors.
