Description
Bougainvillea bushes are typical in warm climates. The bright colors are thrilling to see, often set off against bright green trees and shrubs.
The Jacaranda tree is green with its seed pods prominent. In the months of March and April, they are at their most spectacular when the branches are loaded with soft lavender blossoms.
This watercolor pencil painting is based on a photo I took in Palm Springs, CA. The hot pink colors of the bougainvillea seem almost unreal in all their exuberance!
