Artist's Description

Banana plants are fascinating to watch grow. This one is growing in Maui, Hawaii. Little cream and brown flowers are found at the end of each banana, which fall off, leaving that dark spot at the bottom. A leaf is opening up, in all the beautiful tones of oranges, gold, and red. A developing hand is the pale green bunch in the foreground. The gorgeous, huge leaves are in the background. Soon, this bunch of bananas will be ready to eat. They are very sweet.

About Kirsten Giving

Kirsten Giving

I have been taking pictures since I was young. I love the outdoors and enjoy taking landscape and botanical photos. With my lifelong interest in and study of interior design and architecture, I greatly enjoy taking pictures of buildings, interiors, and art. I have pursued my love of art and creation by making collages with many different themes. I am also interested in the Aboriginal arts of Australia, Pointillism, Dot Art, and watercolors. I have included some of my work in various Collections. I am a retired teacher, play golf, travel, camp, make jewelry, read, paint, make collages, and sew. Thank you for viewing my galleries.
