While sitting at the edge of the King’s River, high in the Sierra Mountains in California, I saw a log which was jammed into the rock formation. It has obviously escaped from a logging truck, further upstream. My photograph was the basis of this drawing.
While the color pallet is limited, there are beautiful blues, aqua, greens, and beiges. To represent bubbles, I used dots, which also add texture.
This painting can be made into an abstract by hanging it in the vertical position!
I have been taking pictures since I was young. I love the outdoors and enjoy taking landscape and botanical photos. With my lifelong interest in and study of interior design and architecture, I greatly enjoy taking pictures of buildings, interiors, and art. I have pursued my love of art and creation by making collages with many different themes. I am also interested in the Aboriginal arts of Australia, Pointillism, Dot Art, and watercolors.
