This image portrays the sun coming up behind Haleakala, the 10,000 foot mountain on Maui in Hawaii. The photo was taken at the Kahili Golf Course in Maui, Hawaii. Gentle, wispy Cirrus clouds float overhead. The sun warms the scene during the Golden Hour. A bit of blue sky is visible. The dew is still on the golden-green grass and the palms are silhouetted against the sky. Rich shadows are formed by the beautiful trees. The back lit flag on a green glows with the morning sunshine.

I have been taking pictures since I was young. I love the outdoors and enjoy taking landscape and botanical photos. With my lifelong interest in and study of interior design and architecture, I greatly enjoy taking pictures of buildings, interiors, and art. I have pursued my love of art and creation by making collages with many different themes. I am also interested in the Aboriginal arts of Australia, Pointillism, Dot Art, and watercolors.
