It is a Monterey Cypress and is estimated to be over 250 years old. Such trees can live for 500 years. The rocky, granite pedestal upon which it sits provides thousands of viewers, and photographers, with opportunities for wonderful shots. It is often considered the most photographed tree in the world!
I have been taking pictures since I was young. I love the outdoors and enjoy taking landscape and botanical photos. With my lifelong interest in and study of interior design and architecture, I greatly enjoy taking pictures of buildings, interiors, and art. I have pursued my love of art and creation by making collages with many different themes. I am also interested in the Aboriginal arts of Australia, Pointillism, Dot Art, and watercolors.
