Tropical gardens often contain the wonderful Bird of Paradise flower, or Strelitzia, which features colorful flowers with strong graphic shapes. The beautiful golden orange, blue, and violet flowers are set against long, dark green leaves. They last a long time on the plant and work well in floral arrangements. Additionally, the plant itself can live for decades in full sun. The photo would work well with modern furnishings, where strong color contrast plays an important role.

I have been taking pictures since I was young. I love the outdoors and enjoy taking landscape and botanical photos. With my lifelong interest in and study of interior design and architecture, I greatly enjoy taking pictures of buildings, interiors, and art.
