A collection of many old signs, a truck hood, and chunks of glass decorate the walls of this old wood building at the James Hayes Glassblowing Facility outside the city of Pine Bluff, Arkansas. This is one of the sheds on the property. The building where the art glass is created is off to the right.
This is a real, working facility where art glass is blown and shipped to galleries throughout Arkansas, as well as all over the world.
The owner collects lots old stuff and hangs it up or sets it out. There are little piles of glass remains here and there, on the ground and hanging on the wall, catching light and the eye of the visitor.
I have been taking pictures since I was young. I love the outdoors and enjoy taking landscape and botanical photos. With my lifelong interest in and study of interior design and architecture, I greatly enjoy taking pictures of buildings, interiors, and art. I have pursued my love of art and creation by making collages with many different themes. I am also interested in the Aboriginal arts of Australia, Pointillism, Dot Art, and watercolors. I have included some of my work in various Collections. I am a retired teacher, play golf, travel, camp, make jewelry, read, paint, make collages, and sew. Thank you for viewing my galleries.
