Description
The mighty King's River in King's Canyon National Park, high in the Sierra Mountains, rushes quickly across thousands of rocks. Each year, when the winter snows melt, the force of water can move even heavy rocks. This image captures the river when it is quite full. During other summers when there is drought in California, there is just a small trickle of water across the river. There are places where people can cross by foot! As always, the river is beautiful and the sound is so calming. Mountains and huge trees surround both sides of the water.
